Why peel and stick
Traditional wallpaper is a decision you cannot undo. It needs paste, a table, a professional more often than not, and a landlord who does not mind. That is a lot to commit to for a wall you might feel differently about in two years.
Peel and stick is the same idea without the commitment. It is a printed vinyl with the adhesive already on the back and a gridded backing paper you cut against. It repositions while you are hanging it, so a drop that goes on crooked lifts off and goes back on straight, and it comes away later without taking the paint with it.
What decides whether it works
Three things, and none of them is the paper. The wall has to be smooth, clean and fully cured, so give fresh paint two to three weeks. The measuring has to include the pattern repeat once per drop, and you round up, because a short final drop is the one mistake that cannot be fixed afterwards. And the air has to come out from the centre to the edges before the adhesive sets, which is what the smoothing tool is for.
That is why we sell the tools beside the paper rather than treating them as an afterthought. A laser level keeps the first drop true and every drop after it follows the first.
